I’m Cheryl Binnie.

But I have a confession to make…

I put off writing my own newsletter
for the first 2 YEARS of my copywriting business.


It was the easiest thing in the world to help OTHER people write their newsletters.

I could quickly see the brilliance they possessed, and it was an absolute joy to show them how to express that brilliance + uniqueness in a way that made them money.

But doing it for myself? Yikes.

Don’t get me wrong. I had lots of good intentions.

I always planned to start my newsletter. And I didn’t lack for ideas. In fact, I had an entire folder FULL of ideas for articles…

… it was just really, really hard to sit down & write those articles when I knew I’d have to send them out into the world.

I had ALL the reasons + excuses I’ve heard other business owners use…

  • I’m too busy this week… I’ll start next week. (And then next week was oh-so-conveniently too busy, as well.)
  • I don’t know WHAT to write about. (Yes, I used that excuse, even though I had a whole file full of ideas. Denial is a powerful thing.)
  • Ugh. My email server is too complicated and frustrating. (Just ignore those simple drag n’ drop options…)
  • I don’t have anyone ON my list yet, so what’s the point? (And the Catch-22 of that: “Well, I haven’t started writing yet, so there’s no point in adding people to my list.”)
  • I can’t send out crap, or else who’s going to take me seriously? (That was probably the longest-lived excuse, even after I had realized the rest were just sneaky lies I was telling myself. After all, “This is what I do for a living! It has to be perfect.”)

But, eventually, the exact same thing happened to me that I warned all of my newsletter-phobic clients about…

I wanted to GROW my business.

Which meant I needed a newsletter.

Around that time, I also started coaching clients on how to write their own copy (as opposed to doing all the writing for them – coaching gave people a more affordable option + taught them a skill EVERY business owner needs).

So I started developing templates, checklists & cheat sheets for my clients to use…

… and then I would use them to write my own copy, too.

Q. I’m a bad writer. How can this program help?

I want you to get that you CAN be a good writer. Writing is learned. No one is BORN a good writer. (Heck, we’re not even born knowing how to hold a pencil or string letters together.)

I’ve turned lots of “bad” writers into good writers. So good, in fact, that they regularly get new clients from their newsletters!

And the great thing about copywriting & writing newsletters is that it’s NOT AT ALL like any kind of writing you ever did in school.

If you’ve got a good story, or an opinion about something in your field, or knowledge about something your ideal clients want to know, then you can write a good newsletter.

(And trust me – you DO have stories, opinions, and knowledge… and your people want to hear them!)

Q. How much 1-to-1 attention will I get?
